During the summer season the desert MARPAT coat sleeves will be rolled with the inside out, forming a 'snug to the arm' roll about three inches wide, with the bottom of the rolled(folded) sleeve slightly above to no more than half the distance between the top of the shoulder and the top of the elbow. Accordingly, at no time should any fleece item be worn as an outer garment on forward operating bases and/or in garrison.
